Who We Are
We’re Down Basic – just two friends with a shared love for tennis, travel, and the kind of experiences that make you feel alive. What started as a dream between us has turned into something much bigger: a series of retreats that bring together everything we care about – movement, creativity, connection, and joy. At its core, Down Basic is about tennis. But it’s also about taking a breath, slowing down, and rediscovering what lights you up. Each retreat is a chance to grow your game and yourself with daily tennis sessions surrounded by mindful movement, art, great food, and the kind of conversations that stay with you long after the trip ends. These retreats are a reflection of our dream: spaces where people can move, grow, unwind, and just be.
